Slide 2: Introduction – Our Everyday Struggle
    •    When someone asks for money on the street…
    •    We wonder:
    •    Are they really in need?
    •    Will money truly help?
    •    What do they really need?

Slide 3: The Beggar at the Gate (Acts 3)
    •    A man, lame from birth, was carried daily to the temple gate “Beautiful” to beg.
    •    Key Detail: “They” brought him there.
    •    Implication: He couldn’t walk on his own.
    •    Question: Who benefits from his dependency?
    •    Possible exploitation vs. genuine need.

Slide 4: Peter’s Response – More Than Money
    •    Peter declares:
    •    “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:6)
    •    Key Point: Peter didn’t offer money—he offered transformation.

Slide 5: The Resurrection Power in Us
    •    Romans 8:11:
    •    “The Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you…”
    •    We carry the same power that raised Jesus.
    •    Our gift is not temporary—it’s life-changing.

Slide 6: Breaking the Cycle of Dependence
    •    Money may provide a quick fix, but it can keep people in a cycle.
    •    Peter broke the cycle by offering the power to rise up and transform.
    •    Challenge: Are we helping or enabling dependency?

Slide 7: What Do You Have to Give?
    •    Reflect on your own life:
    •    What are you offering besides money?
    •    Prayer, wisdom, resources, and the love of Jesus.
    •    Ask: “Am I giving silver and gold, or the power of Christ that sets people free?”

Slide 8: Conclusion – Be Like Peter
    •    We’re called to do more than give temporary relief.
    •    Final Challenge:
    •    Look beyond the immediate request—see the deeper need.
    •    Offer what you truly have: the resurrection power of Jesus.
    •    They don’t just need a handout—they need Jesus.
