The Lord’s Prayer
    1.    Our Father, which art in heaven

    •    God as “Our Father” emphasizes a warm, personal relationship where He cares deeply for His children.
    •    “The Creator of the Universe values us and listens to our prayers.”

    2.    Hallowed be thy name

    •    Scriptures: Matthew 6:9c, Luke 11:2c, Revelation 4:11, 1 Samuel 2:2, Psalms 150:6
    •    Praising God recognizes His holiness and superiority.
    •    “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.”

    3.    Thy kingdom come

    •    Scriptures: Matthew 6:10a, Luke 11:2d, Daniel 7:13–14, Luke 17:20–21
    •    Invites God’s reign on earth and in believers’ hearts.
    •    “The kingdom of God is within you.”

    4.    Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven

    •    Acknowledges God’s plan is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our desires.
    •    “Subordinating our will to God’s will requires spiritual growth.”

    5.    Give us this day our daily bread

    •    Requests God’s provision for daily needs and intercession for others.
    •    “God’s blessings are often better than what we originally wanted.”

    6.    Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us

    •    Forgiving others enables God to forgive us.
    •    “Forgiveness is more for us than the person who wronged us.”

    7.    Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil

    •    Asks for protection from sin and unnecessary trials.
    •    “God refines us through trials but delivers us from the evil one.”
